Lavannya Deolalikar
Lavannya Deolalikar is a law clerk at Hanauer Law and a second-year law student at Northern Illinois University College of Law (NIUCOL). She earned her undergraduate degrees from Bradley University, where she triple-majored in Political Science, Psychology, and Spanish, with two minors in Legal Studies and Business Law.
Before joining Hanauer Law, Lavannya clerked at a law firm in Peoria, IL, where she developed her legal writing and research skills. After her first year at NIUCOL, she got the opportunity to work in the in-house legal department at Illinois Tool Works through the Associate of Corporate Counsel Summer Internship Program. At ITW, Lavannya worked with the commercial and regulatory counsels on a variety of business-law-related matters.
At NIUCOL, Lavannya has earned a spot on the Dean's List every semester. She is interested in all aspects of the law and enjoys any opportunity to apply her legal skills to practice legal issues.
Lavannya is fluent in English and Spanish and is also a native speaker of Hindi and Marathi. Outside of school and work, she enjoys crocheting, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her two cats, Bagheera and Leia.
