Alex Schaer

Alec Schaer is a Peoria-area native with a focus on both criminal and civil matters. He has experience representing clients through the Zeke Giorgi Criminal Defense and Civil Justice Clinics in Rockford Illinois, where he handled matters involving both criminal defense and civil orders of protection. Alec understands a prosecutor’s strategies,
bringing his firsthand experience prosecuting, managing, and settling cases as a 711 Intern with the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office to the defense of our clients at Hanauer Law. Alec earned his Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law and holds a Master of Science in Anthropology and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Illinois State University. Alec brings his experience in both prosecution and defense to every case, providing clients with a knowledgeable and dedicated advocate.
